It appears that, despite the odd requirements this Glorp sets out for the design, it refuses to accept overlapped parts. Perhaps its alchemical tools, like ours, lack an effective way to present and manage such 3-dimensional machines? This may seem counterintuitive, as the alchemical knowledge required to construct a ship which could transport such a being to our shores seems much beyond that currently speculated to enable general use of glyph overlaps. Perhaps it's related to Glorp's seeming distaste for the use of arm movement? An alchemical engine which is capable of generating atom rotations in arbitrary locations without having to go to the trouble of constructing the rest of the arm would certainly disincentivize research into unconventional atom manipulation methodologies. It's impossible to know without an effective means of communication, and at the moment the language barrier unfortunately remains impenetrable.
